But seriously probably my favorite part (even tho my toe was killing me) was walking through the hill-y neighborhoods of San Fran as we walked back to the parking garage. It was so fun to see the houses up close--with an occasional peek inside through a window or door--and imagine what it would be like to live in San Fran. And it reminded me somewhat of the days tracting on my mission. I reeeeally enjoy seeing architecture up close! It was dark by the time we got back to the car and then we drove down Lombard street half a dozen times--the kids loved it, and Gene enjoyed freaking me out by coming to a stop at the top of a steep hill. Seriously, there were times when I thought the van would just flip over backwards, the streets were so steep!
