We just got back from another Homeschool fieldtrip, this time to
Camp Floyd; an interactive park/museum about Utah history during the civil war. We had a great turn-out with 28 families from our local support group coming. We broke into 9 groups of 3-4 families as there were 9 different stations we rotated through. Sarah got to learn how to hold a riffle, march, make adobe bricks, candles and be a letter carrier for the Pony Express. The guns and canons were loud and scared her a little, but Emma had no problem with them--she'd say "Oooo" and laugh. Sarah's favorite part was making the candle that she got to take home with her.
Now Sarah is drawing the shape of our state, learning to spell Utah and drawing pictures of the things we did today. Can I just tell you how much fun we're having?--I LOVE homeschooling!!! Enjoy the pix!
