august in review: city passes, day two

For the second day of using the city passes we got to visit the Living Aquarium, ride the tram at Snowbird and visit the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. As an added bonus we happened to have A+ free coupons for kids meals at Applebee's so that was free as well! Our girls had such fun again with their cousin, Lydia. I personally loved the tram ride! And the view from the top was breathtaking--and a little freaky when the kids got so close to the edge, it was so high up! All in all it was a fun couple of days and made for a very busy week in between vacations.

The shark tank at the aquarium. Not very big, but better than nothing.

Sarah was a little apprehensive to pet the sting rays, but she eventually did. They were velvety soft and very friendly--at times almost jumping out of the tank!

I really liked the jelly fish!

Morgan was fascinated by the giant lobster!

At Snowbird--the view from the bottom of the tram looking up.

Gene, Morgan, Lydia, Sarah & Emma on the tram about half way up (it took about 12 minutes).

On the way up, passing another tram...

... a little surreal, but a cool view.

Gene & Morgan enjoying the view from the top (our city in the distance)

On the way back down & passing another tram full of people (you can see the hotel/resort under the tram to get a sense of the distance).

At the dinosaur museum Emma, Sarah and Lydia acting afraid of the dinosaurs behind them.

A rare breed of cave-dwelling female dinosaurs, but awfully cute!

Morgan having fun digging in the sand in the excavation area for kids.

I love the SLC planetarium and that living aquarium isn't bad for Utah. Looks like you guys had lots of fun!
